Divisions

The University of West Florida is comprised of four divisions which manage the operations of the institution as well as its direct support organizations.


Division of Academic Affairs

The Division of Academic Affairs functions as the primary coordinating unit for academic programs and academic support operations. The division coordinates the allocation of instructional and research funds and other resources, works to improve the quality of instruction, correlates the evaluation of instructions, and establishes policy on faculty appointment, evaluation, promotion and tenure.

Division of Academic Engagement and Student Affairs

The Division of Academic Engagement and Student Affairs supports students as they make the journey to graduation and entry-level employment. The division houses innovative student retention initiatives, unique high-impact learning programs, co-curricular support for career readiness and success and oversees student life programs and high-quality services that support student success.

Division of Finance and Administration

The mission of the Division of Finance and Administration is to provide, develop and enhance essential internal services and operations of the University. In addition, the division is responsible for advancing an environment and infrastructure that welcomes and encourages external strategic partnerships. Finance and Administration oversees the budget and financial planning, business and auxiliary services, Facilities Development and Operations, Financial Services, Human Resources, Procurement, and Environmental Health and Safety. The division is also responsible for oversight of UWF Business Enterprises, Inc., a direct support organization of the institution.

Division of University Advancement

The Division of University Advancement is responsible for development, alumni relations and the UWF Foundation, Inc. In addition, the division houses the UWF Historic Trust, which is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and interpreting the history of Northwest Florida as well as the Pensacola Museum of Art. The division also oversees the efforts of WUWF Public Media, which creates, acquires and distributes audio and video content through broadcast, web and community outreach.
